Summertime is in full swing, and as the districts humid days turn into balmy nights, its tempting to spend August days inside the comfort of your air-conditioned living room watching re-runs of The Office. Summertime is a Prime Time to Take Advantage of the Embassies in D.C. But August is the perfect time of year to get out and enjoy the international experience D.C. has to offer! Washington D.C. is home to 174 resident embassies, and a majority of them open their doors on a regular basis to Washingtonians for a multitude of events.

Embassies in DC have a lot to offer ranging from fancy parties where you can dress up and hire a D.C. limo to take you to an event in style to cultural days where you can simply learn about another countrys culture and traditions.

If you would like a sampling of the embassies, consider taking an Embassy Row Walking Tour on August 6. Perhaps you have always wanted to learn Russian. In fact, the Russian Culture Centre offers free lessons starting August 31! Or, if youve ever wondered how other countries celebrate their Independence Day; on August 15 the Indian Embassy welcomes friends of India to attend a flag hoisting ceremony on Indias Independence Day.

If youre interested in a night out, consider going to The Embassy of the Kingdom of Bahrain on August 28. Start the night right by arriving in a D.C. Limo, and then enjoy entertainment by a top Bahraini musical artist. After the concert, youll be treated to an authentic Bahraini dinner prepared by the embassy chef!

If you prefer to be on your feet, you can dance the night away in the ballroom of the French Embassy on August 14. The embassy offers dance lessons for the Viennese Waltz, Tango, and Merengue and after perfecting the box step guests can enjoy a dance party and drink French wine!

Most embassies are downtown and it can be tough to find parking. And many bus routes still leave you a long distance from an embassys front door. So what better way to arrive to these events than to be chauffeured! Most diplomats ride in town cars or in limousines from D.C. airports to events around town. If you are going for the full international experience, you should certainly consider hiring a service to meet your transportation needs!

Cabs can be hard to find at night in the quieter neighborhoods of D.C. where many embassies are located, and calling a cab service can be a gamble. You never know if the cab you end up with will smell like smoke, or if the driver knows where they are going and can communicate well. Why worry about these things on a nice night out? Take the guess work and frustration out of transportation and hire a limousine company where drivers are known to be professional and courteous and are well acquainted with the D.C. region. With a Limousine you can get from point A to point B without any fuss all while you sit back comfortably with the knowledge that you will arrive to any event in style.
