The Lords in astrology chart represent the ruling planets of the houses, which have distinct strengths. The aspect in life where the strength is geared to determines the kind of life you are expected to have, either full of luck or inclined towards poverty.

Birth chart reading requires basic knowledge about astrology including its terminologies such as Lords, houses, and planets. The Lords and the rest of the terms are essential in order to understand fully what the interpretation is all about.

Basic info in astrology

There are 12 houses in the astrology chart, each is called Bhaav. The assigned numbers in each house symbolizes a sign and has accompanying ruling planets called the lords.

What are Lords in astrology

Lord is sometimes called ruler of planets, which is popular in Indian Astrology. Lords in astrology play an important role in identifying what you can expect in life; whether good or bad luck. Below are the 12 houses in the Indian system, which are as follows:

* Mesha - Mar. 21 - April 20
* Vrishaba - April 21 - May 20
* Mithuna - May 21 - June 20
* Karkata - June 21 - July 20
* Simha - July 21 - Aug. 20
* Kanya - Aug. 21 - Sept. 20
* Tula - Sept. 21 - Oct. 20
* Vrischika - Oct. 21 - Nov. 20
* Dhanus - Nov. 21 - Dec. 20
* Makara - Dec. 31 - Jan. 20
* Kumbha Jan. 21 - Feb. 20
* Meena - Feb. 21 - Mar. 20

While there are 12 houses, each house is governed by a particular Lord. Since each planet has varied inherent strength, the intensity each house possesses may vary from minimum to maximum, which are called house of debilitation and house of exaltation respectively. The following are the houses and their corresponding planets as their Lords:

* Aries (Mesha) - Mars
* Taurus (Vrishaba) - Venus
* Gemini (Mithuna) - Mecury
* Cancer (Karkata) - Moon
* Leo (Simha) - Sun
* Virgo (Kanya) - Mercury
* Lira (Tula) - Venus
* Scorpio (Vrischika) - Mars
* Sagittarius (Dhanus) - Jupiter
* Capricorn (Makara) - Saturn
* Aquarius (Kumbha) - Saturn
* Pisces (Meena) - Jupiter

Several Lords according to placement in the house are represented by yoga. Yoga, which means union of planets, illuminates the same strength of intensity as that of the planet. If a particular planet has positive vibes when it comes to possessions, most likely you will experience providence and endless bounties in life. Here are the types of yoga with their resultant combination namely:

Maha Yoga

Maha Yoga refers to the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th, 7th, 9th, 10th, and 11th Lords of houses. When these switch places, good luck is almost likely to happen.

Khala Yoga

When the abovementioned Lords of houses changed places with the Lord of the 3rd, it is called Khala Yoga, which is considered bad luck.

Dainya Yoga

Lords of 6th, 8th, and 12th houses are called Trik or Dusthanas. If they changed places with any of the remaining houses, it is called Dainya Yoga, which is an extremely dragging luck.

The interpretation of astrology chart may serve as your guide in life. However, do not allow it to determine your future by being passive and easy go lucky.
