Darksiders is a game with mixed reviews. Some people like it and recommend it, while others feel that it was good for a beginner but not for someone with better action games to compare it to. While it is a game that everyone should try and judge for themselves, there still is mixed reaction to the way the game played out.

The storyline is pretty simple. You act as a horseman of the Apocalypse and you have lots of power over others. People respect you and treat you with respect, but there are others who want to kill you and who are enemies to you. They don`t like you because they think you are the reason that good mashed with bad and that apocalypse happened in the first place.

In the game you can collect gear as you pursue through the levels. You can upgrade on your weapons and collect them as you go. As you head through an enemy packed environment, you must solve puzzles in dungeons and sometimes head backwards to solve some of the clues.

In the game you play a good guy, but you are still a hero. It is funny to hear your character talk to others in the game and sound so professional and kind. It`s funny because right after a conversation a fight could erupt and send your character on a fighting frenzy pulling out all kinds of evil moves. He can rip of enemy`s heads, cut them with his sword and slice them in half, he can also smash them and get blood everywhere in the game.

It`s not hard to battle anyone in this game. The combat component is pretty basic and any level of gamer could get through a round between your character and another. The moves are easy to learn and his enemies are pretty lame when it comes to defending themselves and throwing out any spectacular fighting moves. When you do get to the point where an enemy is going to die, a button comes up and rests on top of their head. You just click to finish the job. Then an animation specific enemy type is transmitted and you will be rewarded accordingly.

To add to the sword that you already have you can find two other attachments as you plug away at the game. A huge scythe and a massive gauntlet can be found and added. The great thing about this is that you can change features and swords when you get bored with combat.

In the game you head through worlds and solve puzzles that are located in dungeons. You can use a gear of weapons, find maps, locate treasure chest locators, and fire bombs at crystal walls. Some of your special things that you can do are; using abyssal chains to cross chasms and use cross blades for multi-targets to transfer fire.

This game is pretty slow. It is also easy and forgiving. It is perfect for any level of gamer and for those who are not experienced in combating in games. The level of difficulty is extremely low and does not contain very complex fighting components to make it challenging enough to spark the interest of an avid gamer. Some people might add that the storyline and features in the game were highly un-original. But on a good note, the graphics were decent and it was a fun game to pine through.
