One of the hardest things about owning a piece of commercial property is the upkeep. There is a lot to do in order to maintain the looks of the grounds and to keep the interior of the buildings on the property running smoothly and looking nice and clean.

During the summertime there is a lot to be done each week to keep the property in tip top shape. Of course there is the mowing that needs to be done. This is a weekly occurrence. Another weekly occurrence is the sprinkler maintenance. One of the reasons that this is a weekly occurrence is because the mowers often times will run over a line and break it without knowing it. Another reason that this may be the case is because of the dirt that may have gotten into the line during a previous repair and now that has made its way to the sprinkler head and that clogs the head.

Besides the mowing and the sprinkler repair there is the need to maintain the lower beds by pulling weeds, cleaning up all of the garbage, trimming the bushes, taking out old, dead trees and anything else that needs to be done to make the property look nice and have a great curb appeal.

During the winter time landscapers have to in other ways to make money. The way that they do this is through doing snow removal on all of the properties that they maintain during the summer. The snow removal is a business that is spotty and not always available. It, of course, depends on the snow flying.

Some companied prefer to maintain fewer properties and do more things that include all of the upkeep inside. By doing this they can assure themselves of steady work. Some of things that these types of companies typically do in addition to the landscaping and snow removal include the janitorial jobs inside the building, the handyman work, such as HVAC upkeep, and small plumbing jobs.

This is particularly a good set up when the property is an elderly living complex. It works well because the elderly can get to know who the people are and are able to recognize the employees who regularly work there. This is better or their protection and safety. It is also good for the property owners because the employees get a lot more efficient because they become a lot more familiar with the property and the personnel and how they work.
