In this world there are few things that can compare to the love of a child. Children can be the cause of a lot of stress in life and often can cause a lot of heartache, but they can also cause more joy than is possible with anything else.
Not all people are able to have children of their own. Due to a variety of medical reasons, some women are unable to bare children and some men have medical conditions that prevent them from being able to impregnate their wife. In these cases, not all is lost. There are other means to having children in the home of a couple that cannot have children of their own for one reason or another.
There are a lot of unwanted pregnancies in which the mother or father is unable to provide for the child or unwilling to take that responsibility. It is a sad thing to think that someone would bring a child into the world under circumstances, whatever they are, that would prevent that child from having a normal childhood being raised in the home of their biological parents. Through adoption services and foster care, there are ways for these children to enjoy life and to live it to its fullest. The people who become the parent of a foster child are some of the most caring people in the world. They often cherish the chance to raise that child or children because often times they are not able to have children of their own and they are missing that aspect in their life. They can fulfill the role that the biological parents do not or would not do.
One of the main things that the government and foster agencies look for when looking at possible foster parents is the stability of the home. They need to know that if they place the child in the home that they will not go through more traumatic experiences. They also look at the finances of the couple to make sure that they can physically provide for the child. They do not look to place children in wealthy homes, but they need to know that the basics of life can be provided for them and that they will not go hungry or homeless. The joy for the child and couple that are matched up can be even sweeter because of what they have experienced.
