When it comes to building a home there is a lot of things that need to be considered and planned for. One of the first things that is planned for after the home is drawn on the plans is the plumbing. The plumbing is so far up the list to plan for because it is the least flexible. The layout of the home and the plumbing fixtures, such as the toilet and the sinks will dictate where the plumbing must go in the home. Once that is laid out on the plans, then the heating and air conditioning are next because the trunk line is large and is the next least flexible item in the home.
The electrical is the last to be placed in the drawings because it is the most flexible In terms of the wiring and where it can be ran to. The electrical can also fit into a lot of small places and can be ran next to the the HVAC if it needs to be.
It should be no surprise that in some cases the HVAC company is combine with the plumbing company to make one company. The reason that some companies have done this is because they found that they could be a lot more efficient when they are a company that is combined. Many of the problems for both of these trades was the other. So by combining them they are able to reduce the problems and pick up the extra time. When they do this, they are able to make more money and move to the next job much sooner.
The plumbing in the house can be a source of problems when it is done incorrectly. There is no greater frustration for a home owner than to have plumbing problems constantly. It is no fun to have the toilets backed up all of the time and spilling over onto the bathroom floor.
When doing a home the plumbers should take the time to make sure that it is done right. It is also up to the home owner to not pressure the plumbers into mistakes because they are so anxious to have it all done right now. By backing off and being patient, a home owner is more likely to get a good job that will be void of problems due to the installation. This is a long term stress that is not worth the little time saves in the beginning of the construction of the home.
