You would think by now I would be totally free from procrastinating. But the fact remains that everyone has some element of delay in us. Here are the few ideas that I've been making use of that's assisting in a big way.
Do the most challenging job first. When I said challenging, I am not speaking about problems from energy stand point. I am referring to the task which you hate doing the most. Personally, I passionately hate article spinning. So now, that is the first task that i do in the am. Like that, I can have it taken care of. Also I have the most energy in the morning (with starbucks offcourse).
Set a deadline to do the activity. Determined by your degree of your procrastinating behavior this can help you lessen it. To me now, I have to write and spin a write-up by 12pm. That can help me focus better and just get it taken care of. Yours might be shooting and uploading youtube videos. Observe that I say upload. It is advisable to finish the job. Set a time deadline that you know it is possible to stay faithful to.
Reward yourself regularly. This is not for your mini task like rotating one article. It needs to be for that major task. You can treat yourself for recruiting anyone into your organization. Treat yourself for writing, spinning and syndicating 20 articles in 1 week. If you are a health freak like me, then this is an excuse to grab a burger king with the best French fries in the market (my opinion).
When it is huge task, split it down directly into stages. It is possible to get overwhelmed having a major task. Example of that task may be setting up a blog and installing all of the necessary plug-ins. Break the task into various levels and pace yourself. One of my favorite quotes state “Rome was not built in a day.”
This isn't feasible for everybody. However when it is possible, have a person to evaluate you regularly in case you are getting the job done. It could be your child and it may be your upline (if at all possible). You simply need someone to keep you responsible.
One of the solutions to overcome procrastination is to have the “no excuse” mentality. Most of us understand that life is certain to get in the way. We all have issues that come up. That being said, never welcome the excuses. You not welcoming excuses might mean sleeping 2 hours later. It may means skipping on the party. Have the profitable task carried out ON TIME.
