The days of reckless fast food consumption are over. Consumers are very well aware of the negative effects of such consumption and are now looking at healthy and nutritive choices for their food and drinks. The fact that the average European is willing to miss out on meals and opt for healthy snacks as borne out by average lunch-break duration of just 22 minutes is proof that people want to avoid extensive lunch routines. Moreover, the sandwich market growth figures as well as the general snacking industry growth figures too are enough evidence that people will opt for high quality fresh snacks packaged well over the traditional lunch.

If this is true for food, then can beverages be far behind? Not many in offices like the beverages served through the vending machine and are looking at better alternatives. It is a well known fact that there is nothing more uplifting than a steaming cup of fresh hot coffee. However getting it at any time that you need is a question that has not been resolved satisfactorily and though many coffee vending machine companies claim that they can provide this convenience, the results have not been in line with expectations.

The reason is not far to seek. Even when you roast fresh coffee beans at home and crush them on the very day you wish to drink it, the result may not turn out as perfect as you would want it to despite investing in a costly device. The advantage however is that the roasted beans have a tendency to set some free carbon dioxide which keeps oxygen in the air from having its negative effect on the freshness of the beans and if you can store the freshly ground beans in an airtight container, the chances of the freshness getting lost is minimised to a great extent and you can still get the fine aroma associated with the coffee.

However, beyond a couple of weeks, the aroma will no longer be there and even the coffee will start tasting quite bland. Hence making use of a good airtight container and storing it at a cool dark place is vital to retaining the freshness of coffee powder. Now that is not something everybody can consistently manage on a sustainable basis.

The answer to that is the solution described above in which the presentation of coffee to the customers is done in a cup that is sealed such that the loose ingredients retain their freshness. When the customer wants to have his cup of coffee, all he needs to do is peal the seal back, add hot water to the coffee and through the addition of a sip lid enjoy hot steaming fresh coffee. The appearance of the cup is such that it resembles a coffee paper cup, but due to the extra fins made out of plastic provided along with a wrap, the heat transfer is minimum and freshness along with sufficient heat can be enjoyed by the customer.
