Moab is one of the most famous destinations in Utah. The nearest town to several national parks, it is the nexus for tourism and fun in Eastern Utah. From seeing the magnificent Delicate Arch in Arches National Park to white water rafting down the Colorado River, to hiking in Canyonlands or marveling at the enigmatic carvings on Newspaper Rock, Moab has something to offer. Along with all of these natural wonders, the night life in Moab is amazing as well, with several venues for concerts, plays, and breweries to occupy the evening hours. There is something to be found for everyone in Moab.

Arches National Park is one of the must-see attractions. Amazing rock formations composed of petrified Navajo, Kayenta, and Entrada sandstone reach up into the sky, each taking their own unique shape. The most famous of these are the arches for which the park is named, including not only Delicate Arch, but also the Windows Section of the park, which contains several different arches, massed into the same formation. It is an amazing site, and something that should not be missed. The arches and other formations at Arches National Park were formed by a combination of wind and water erosion, removing the weaker portions of the sandstone and leaving behind the harder formations. The park is always changing, and as the arches themselves erode and grow weaker, new formations make their way to the surface of the stone. There are several hotels in Moab that provide access to the park, and the city of Moab itself is just minutes away by car.

After visiting Arches, Dead Horse Point, or one of the other interesting national parks and monuments, a river rafting trip, either white water or scenic, down the magnificent Colorado River is in order. This is the same river that carved out the Grand Canyon, and in the Moab area, it can be a wild ride. For those not wanting to be drenched, a scenic tour, lasting several hours and including a lunch or dinner might be a better option, and during the summer seasons, there are also scenic night time tours, combining light and shadow and giving the tourist a unique perspective.

Whatever your desire is in a hotel Moab has, there is something to offer everyone. From amazing scenery to high adventure; from interesting culture to a great night life, Moab has something for everyone, and finding the right hotel in Moab is the first move to make.
