You have seen those shows; they are all over the networks. You know the shows that have mothers with seven or eight babies. Watching them today, you always seem to notice that there is some kind of financial crisis. There are all these kids but no money to pay for their basic necessities. Multiple babies mean multiple baby cribs. Some people may think you can put two babies in one crib but that is a disaster just waiting to happen. Additionally mattresses should fit firmly inside baby cribs. It seems babies love to wedge themselves in tight spaces. If you have any space between the frame and the bed the baby could get stuck. The railings should be high enough so the baby cannot escape, but should still be sturdy enough to support the weight of the infant. On some models these railings have been known to slide down abruptly, and cause injury to the child.
If you cannot afford to spend more money for your baby, consider a hand me down high quality crib. It is best if you check with people you know and see if they have a crib. That way you will have the advantage of knowing the history of that particular crib. That is not to say you cannot look elsewhere. There are quite a few websites that are sure to provide used high quality baby cribs at affordable prices.
Finally check out the name brand of the crib. How is the reputation of the company in mind? Find out if there have been recalls on a particular model you choose. Research the crib you have in mind on blogs to find out what others have said. The best sources are those who have actually used the product. Remember, stay away from budget cribs. The safety of your baby should be most important in your mind. Diapers, hand wipes, and baby powder can be purchased at lower prices by choosing a store brand; and they offer the same quality.
