First you will want to research if the college has programs that interest you. Whether it is education, business, or a technical field, you will want to be sure that the degrees that interest you are offered and highly regarded.

You will want to be comfortable with the distance of the college. Where is it located? Do you want to stay close to home? Do you have a specific state in mind? Answering these questions can help begin to narrow your options. You will want to visit the campus and make sure that feels right. Check out the campus housing and tour the facilities. Make sure that you feel that it is an ideal place that will allow you to have success in your studies.

When deciding on a college for ADHD students or other learning disabilities, it is important account for the size of the student body and the class sizes. Ideally, you will want smaller class sizes and more dedicated attention from your professors.

It is important to identify the support services that will be available to you. Many traditional colleges may only offer limited assistance. You need to find out if you can get the support to succeed with your learning capacity. You could possibly visit some of the classes or support programs that are offered before applying. This can allow you to see how learning differences are treated and if you feel that you will receive the support that you need.
