Digitizing your own custom designs can be great fun and a rewarding hobby or a very lucrative business. However, unless you are an artist as well as a digitizer, finding not only good quality clip art but also clipart that is royalty free or copyright free for embroidery designs is one of the first and most important step in the process.

There is really not hard to making embroidery designs in the embroidery digitizing process. You will need to be able to know how to use the digitizing program, you are using before you will be able to faultlessly make your own design fast and perfectly. This makes it important that you need to choose a digitizing program that you like and is comfortable for you to use. This should be the foremost thing to do when starting the digitizing process.

Once we have selected the digitizing program, we can start on our embroidery projects. The design and editing the design is part of the process, of course. This is why there is also an emphasis placed on how to make your own designs using the digitizing program. We start by picking out the artwork or design to digitize. Make sure the design is outlined by clean lines. It is also helpful if the design has as few colors as possible. We can then digitize this design as a vector file. We can use any graphics program that we are comfortable using in making our own design and converting it into out preferred image file format.

Once we have set the design in a compatible file format, we can then upload it to the embroidery-digitizing program. Make sure that the file format that your design is in is compatible with the program you are using. The design is useless if the program cannot recognize the file.

If you need to edit the design, then do so. We will also have to check and clean up the design by clearing up the edges and reducing the amount of color combinations. The less complex the design, the clearer the final image will be. We need to accomplish this to perfection before the digitizing program can start on transforming the images into embroidery stitch patterns.

Take care to learn everything there is about your digitizing program and the different image files that are compatible with it. If there are training courses available that can teach you all about the program and how to make design then take advantage of them. The process for embroidery digitizing can be complicated, but with help such as these we will be able to make embroidery designs and projects a whole lot easier and faster.

Embroidery digitizing is one of the most useful inventions for those who enjoy crafts and artwork of any kind. It allows individuals from any background with any skill-level to have something in their home that they and others will always treasure. Embroidered art is a very special kind of art, something digitizing embroidery is making increasingly more popular, and now more people than ever can take part in making this type of art more popular and beloved.
