The NCLEX review is an important part of the process for those who have just finished nursing school. NCLEX or National Council Licensure Exam offers two different exams for prospective nurses. There is one for both registered as well as practical nurses. These tests are created to ensure the public is receiving the highest standards of care.
When you feel the time is right for you to take the exam you will need to apply by filling out an application and submitting it. The application form can be found on the website or by phoning any one of the candidates services contact numbers. There is a fee associated with this test that you will required to forward with your application.
Once you have received acceptance you'll be required to book an appointment to complete the test. You will book your appointment at the testing center nearest you. If for any reason you have to make a change it is imperative that you contact the center twenty-four hours in advance to make the appropriate changes. Once you arrive at the testing center you'll have to prove your identity by showing valid identification before you can begin writing.
The exam consists of a variety of important skill sets such as how to manage patient care, safety, infection control, and understanding of pharmaceutical therapies among many other important aspects within the field. Many of the questions are presented in multiple choice.
You are not likely to be presented with just multiple choice but mathematical questions in relation to medical aspects such as medication dosages. You may also be need to read and organize information in the order in which you would be were required to perform a particular duty. Though it is very much dependent on where you are located in some cases, you can get the results of your completed work within 48 hours.
