So you think that these huge fashion designers will really spare no cost when designing your wedding dress for you? I suggest that you think again. Perhaps you are too blinded by their over rated names that you just do not know that difference between genuine designers and commercialized designers. Most of these fashion stylists and designers are being advertised all over the internet for free and then you fail to notice that they charge too much for their mediocre designs. Honestly, only a few designers can really design some beautiful wedding gowns. I believe that the best are out there, busy with their work while these so-called designers are busy promoting their services in public.
I strongly believe that the best advertisement would be through testimonials. The clients and customers will speak for their designs. If you think that the fashion designer whom you are considering to make your bridal gown for you is too good to be true, he probably is. He might be over advertising himself and then you end up paying for his expenses instead of his services. If you would look closely to what some small time designers can do, you realize that these beginners are so much more worth it than the big ones in the market. In fact, some small time designers barely make it to the fashion world's mainstream because they are not as commercialized as the most poplar ones.
One way to figure out if a bridal dress designer is ripping you off with your money is to know their style. If they don't even consult you or they don't even ask you what style you want for your gown, start wondering why. Perhaps they have something ready for you and then they will charge you 10 times of its real worth. A very good fashion designer will work hand in hand with the owner's opinion from time to time without assuming that everything will be alright. He or she will always ask for your insights on what fabrics you want or what extra details would look good on your gown.
Remember, your wedding day doesn't happen every year. Most of the time, you only get married once and that's it.
